Giulio gave us the trip of a lifetime. Never having been to Africa, we were unsure of what was ahead for us, but from the moment we stepped off of the plane, Giulio took care of everything we needed. The accommodations and food were first rate, and the daily were full of opportunities to photograph the magnificent landscape and wildlife of Tanzania. On the daily drives Giulio suggested photo compositions, camera settings and objects of interest. He also reviewed our photos daily, and gave us invaluable advice. It was a true photo safari. Giulio is not only a professional photographer, but he is also a skilled teacher. He is also upbeat, friendly, and easy to be with. Not only did we come home with hundreds of great photos, but also a mind full of great memories. We would encourage any of our friends to take one of these tours as well.

Where do we start! We had so many great experiences on this trip. I would start with the people, Tanzanians are kind, caring people. They treated us so well and we always felt very welcomed. The accommodations were excellent, we especially enjoyed being in the remote camps vs hotels and the “tents” were soooo comfortable and private. It was a great place to relax after a long day. The food was very good, although more variation would have been nice. We had an excellent guide who knew the terrain, which was so important when you look at the size of the Parks we went to. The itinerary covered all the great locations, and for photography we certainly got great pictures of the B5 and so many more. The Serengeti is all about capturing the right moments in the wild, and we got that. And getting that perspective from a hot air ballon ride over the Mara river at sunrise was spectacular. The days were very busy and some additional downtime would have been good. Giulio was open to adjustments and sensitive to our needs. The group we traveled with had great chemistry which added to the trip and we had the added bonus of a great driver who could fill us in on everything we were looking at. He knew all of the history etc. which was so enlightening. This was an unforgettable experience. Michael & Toni Spott

Walking around the city with Giulio is a pleasure in itself, talking about life and photography. I was lucky to listen to an episode of the Frames podcast where Giulio was the guest. That dialogue on his career as a photographer and his values made me curious about the tour, particularly the night tour of Rome. It was 4 hours of learning, discovery, and humanity. I strongly recommend it. Giulio is extremely knowledgeable and creative, and you will see Rome with different eyes!

I booked my session with him about a month ahead of time for my first trip to Rome. He had great reviews online. Meeting him in person did not disappoint. Highly recommend.
